When you make a booking (directly with us or via our web site) we will not ask for a deposit but will ask for the full amount to be paid 7 days prior to your visit. This should give plenty of time to make sure the visit can go ahead with regard to the latest Covid-19 advise. If you book through another web site, such as booking.com or HomeAway then you will be bound by their booking terms.
Normally we would greet you in person and show you around your holiday property; but now we will greet you at a safe distance when you arrive and will then leave you to enter your property on your own. We will give clear instructions and information before you arrive about the property and the area, so that you have reference to this before and during your stay. This will be done through a digital welcome pack. You will be able to download this information onto your phone and need to remember that we will no longer be leaving hard copies in our properties. As we live on site, though at a safe distance, we are on hand if needed.
Sadly, for the time being, we will not leave homemade goodies and drinks ready for your arrival and the usual selection of herbs and oils will also be removed from the kitchen. We will be asking you to bring everything you need with you, it is safer that way. Hopefully, we can relax this at some stage in the future. Remember, we are very rural, so bring everything you need for your stay. You will need to check with local pubs, restaurants and attractions before you visit as you will almost certainly have to book in advance and some places may not accept cash.
There will be hand sanitiser and soap in all properties and we ask you to use these as often as necessary, especially when you arrive and every time you come back into the property. Please bring your own toiletries as we will not be leaving these in the properties for the time being. We will leave antiviral cleaner for your use. We will also remove any items that are not completely necessary, such as bed throws and cushions etc. We know this will make the property look a little bare and utilitarian, but I hope you agree that, for the time being, it is safer for us all.
We ask all guests to keep to the arrival and departure times we have agreed, so that we can safely manage guests arriving and leaving and make sure there is ample time for thorough cleaning between guests in all the properties, so we have made our check in times a bit later in the day to between 6-9pm. We will not be able to allow late leaving times or early arrival times for next the few months.
We will wear appropriate PPE and use disposable cleaning materials whilst cleaning properties and follow government cleaning protocols. We will also make sure there is plenty of time between guests for properties to have been thoroughly cleaned and prepared.The refuse and recycling area will be checked each day, but we do ask you to make sure wash your hands after using this facility too.
Bed linen and towels etc are all bagged in the properties (we will ask you do do this) and are then collected by a local management company (https://www.sand-piper.co.uk/) for laundering. The laundry company have given the following statement about cleaning used laundry - “Back in early-mid March, when the virus outbreak began to take off, we quickly followed any guidance given from the Textile Service Association or The Government about making changes to any working controls. This included increasing our washing temperatures to 72 degrees. We process the bed linen through our ironer lines at 184 degrees to further neutralise any remaining bacteria - if there is any still present. Towelling is also dried at temperatures of 100 degrees.”
There is ample space for parking safely and all properties have separate entrances, so there is no worry about having shared entrances or being too close to other guests. There are only 3 small properties (attracting mainly couples) on site so there are never many guests staying at one time.
The spa is open again for limited use. The shower and sauna will not be in use, but the hot tub will be available for guests' use. As the spa is shared between the three small properties here we cannot allow more that one set of guests to use the hot tub each day. So, with this in mind, we will give you a day during your visit that you will have exclusive use of the hot tub from 11am until 9pm, after the room has been properly cleaned and disinfected in the morning. For most stays this will be for one day of your visit, but, occasionally, you may be lucky and have more than one day!

If you suspect that one of your party is developing Covid-19 whilst staying at one of our properties, we have a strict policy as to what you need to do and how this may affect you. This will be sent to you at booking or on request and will also be included in our terms and conditions. It is very important to let us know in good time if any of your party has had any contact with Covid-19 and cancel your booking.
